FIRE  DOOR SAFETY

Internal fire doors play an invaluable part in protecting your building and everyone inside it. Fire doors help contain fires and minimise the risk of it spreading and causing further damage and injury. It’s only when a fire breaks out, that the consequences of poorly fitted or maintained fire doors are known. This is why internal fire doors are so important and why you need to ensure they are fitted and maintained correctly.

As is the case with all fire safety products and equipment, fire doors need to be regularly checked and maintained to ensure they are functioning correctly and are ready to use. Any slight alteration to the door or its surroundings can affect the performance of a door. Remember, you must maintain doors correctly and can be prosecuted under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order if you fail to do so.

Our team are fully qualified to BRE/DHF Standards to undertake repair, maintenance and installation of your fire doors. They are able to inspect and provide an inspection list and report for all your fire doors and will schedule in ongoing routine assessments. We can install identification labels to each fire door which is then transferred onto an internal database for records. We can also supply a basic maintenance check list to your staff so they are able to check the fire doors regularly.

If necessary, we can maintain and repair your fire doors should they need. We will carry out minor repairs to fire doors at the time of inspection, if possible, which can often eliminate the chance of the fire door failing.  If a fire door cannot be repaired then we are able to supply and install new fire doors to meet the current British standards.
